AIMS:
Our aim is to provide drink drive offenders referred to an approved course with expert training in a group situation about problems associated with drink-driving enabling them to develop future non-offending behaviour and thereby reduce re-offending.
BEST PRACTICE:
To foster continuous improvement and the highest quality training standards. A condition of ADDAPT membership is that the approved provider operates all Drink Drive Rehabilitation Courses (DDR) such that the minimum criteria is met as a strict requirement by the Department for Transport (DfT).
Membership of ADDAPT also agrees that the provider abides by the Code of Conduct, that includes the following commitments:-
- To operate with fairness, integrity and openness in dealing with courts and other ADDAPT members:
- To ensure that DfT approved courses are provided in accordance with the required minimum standard approved by the Secretary of State. That published course details and content are consistently applied:
- To foster productive local network links within each court area, including magistrates, court officials, police and local authority and others, such that the awareness and impact of the courses are maximised.
